I just pulled a code P0216 and it tells me ing pump timing failure??? Vp44 gone or what the???? Runs fine and starts right up so i don't know what to think? Awesome FP necer get below 15 psi @ WOT. Any suggestions?

No telling how long the doctor has given your VP-44 but the P0216 usually means not long. Are you having any symptoms other than the code?? i.e., dead pedal, excessive white smoke, low power/fuel mileage, rough idle... I'd clear the code(if you have a scan tool) and see if it comes back.
I had a P0216, VP-44 lasted 13 months fed by a FASS. It still died. Timeline would be as follows:
April 2004: Install FASS, after install checked codes and had the code.
August 2004: First instance of the dead pedal in hot Kansas weather, seemed to disappear for the winter unless I went on long drives. Heat seemed to be a factor.
March 2005: Dead pedal became more consistent. Nearly anytime the engine was at operating temperature the dead pedal would come with constant RPM. Dead pedal became more pronounced until... Other symptoms were truck sputtering upon letting out the clutch from a dead stop.
May 2005: After a 3 hour roadie, parked the truck at my house. Next time I went to start the truck I got billowing white smoke and an extremely rough idle... almost like a gasser with a large cam.

Just wondering if your fuel pressure guage bounces?

It only bounces when the truck first starts up and the preheater kicks in and out other than that no real bounceing. The only thing I have noticed is the dead pedal 1/2 dozen times in the past month or so, no white smoke, no loss of power, and no rough idle. I might try and find a dealer that will warrenty it it I completly remove all signs of the Edge Comp mod. Don't really know what to do abouth the tapped wire other than play dumb if they asked me. If they don't warrenty it for me whats the BEST IP I can get for this turd and will it last for any lenght of time?????
