I have about 350 miles on new clutch, tried doing burnout in 4th gear and heard a slight popping sound, truck stalled out and when i tried to crank, it crunk in gear, clutch would not release until i went down the road pumping the pedal until it broke loose, clutch works fine now, anyone know what could have happened?

 

The clutch facing may have bonded itself to the flywheel/pressure plate. Were you slipping the clutch, or just dumping it? I've heard that the FE's don't like slippage at all. I'd suggest giving Peter at Southbend, or calling the place you bought the clutch from, and get their take on it.

 

no, the clutch has never slipped, it done it during a burnout.

 

something similar happend to me it could be your piolit bearing

 

you had to have slipped it hard if you were trying to do a 4th gear burnout

 

It has a new pilot bearing, I did not feel it slip but it is possible. Just hope I didnt mess anything up.
