Check engine light poped on my 99
Ok, now before the search wagon screams at me I am asking because the site is tell me to - PS - im searching right now also, Slow internet at the house.....
"Hello jiMMyCTD it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums? "
So here I am seeking suggestions before I head to the parts store sometime this week to have them run the reader(i tried the key cycle, no luck)
Here is what happened and what i have tried so far.
I have had this truck for almost 4 years now. It is used for towing and otherwise gets driven at least bi weekly. I have ZERO issues with it. it has 110k miles on her. I was driving into town and noticed my edge comp was not on. So i hit the power button and nothing turned on, ok no biggie ive read on here where sometimes they get flakey. So at the next light i reach behind and unplug the module. Instant check engine light came on. Ok so i think it saw an open circuit. I pluged it back in and the box came on, traffic starts going so i test the box on every leval. Works normally again BUT the check engine light is on still, ARG... So after my stop in town i come out to the truck she starts up normally, edge is on, check engine light is STILL on. Truck runs fine on all levels of the edge and when i turn the edge off. FP is fine and normal. all over gauges reading normal and acting normal and truck works perfect. all i did was unplug the edge with motor running and now the check engine light is on.
Any tips/tricks/ or tribal knowledge would be great. All i have done since i got home was remove the battery cables and clean them off for good measure(yes ill have to reset my presets on the radio) LOL.

Assuming the comp also taps into the MAP sensor. I had a similar problem when i unplugged my juice harness from the box. did a quick scan of codes and i found P0237 something about the MAP sensor. cleared the code and hooked the juice back up and no more CEL.
I unplugged the quad box from the 03 when it was running one time and it started running like crap. Check engine light came on, I plugged it back in real quick and it still ran like crap. So I turned it off and cranked it, it ran fine but the light was still on. The next time I started it all was good, ran fine and no CEL.
well took her into town. filled her up with fuel. CEL still on. truck driving normally. goto local to pull codes. returned only 1 - P0237 Turbocharger Boost Pressure Sensor Low. he unplugd the reader, i strted it up and no more light. giddy up!!!!!!
