car seats in 2002 extended cab, not sure where to put this.

sorry, can not figure out where else to post this question.
2002 extended cab and trying to put child car seats in the rear seat.

I have the most up right, car seats that I can find.

anyone have pictures of how you installed your child, front facing car seat in the rear of one of these trucks?

I am trying to mount two of them. I have searched every where with out finding anything.

I am thinking of taking the back of the back seat out to give a bit more room but, I don't know how to remove just the back of the back seat.

sorry for posting this in the wrong place if there is a better place to post it.

My 01.5 had the attachment points at the top of the rear seat, but I didn't use them and took them out.

I ended up pulling the buckle as tight as possible by putting my 235 lbs. knee into them and cinching them down tight. The reels don't click/lock if you pull them all the way out like a lot of other vehicles, but the belt cinches thru the buckle when in the normal position.

The problem I had is when the child got bigger their feet touch the backs of the seats and made me have to move mine forward...at 6-3 I was feeling cramped. Once they got into just a booster their feet hung down into the floor more and let me get my seat back to where I like it.

IIRC the rear seat back pulls directly upwards to remove, but I will have to check my FSM before I confirm that and wouldn't suggest doing that for safety reasons, that's why I left mine in place.

One will mount ok in the center allowing feet across the center console. Yes, I'm sure two is difficult! Without moving the seat(s) fwd it just won't allow enough room in the back.

Once I got mine down tight they were pretty solid forward and back and side to side. If I didn't feel it was as safe as possible I would not have let my kids ride in them.

The key is getting them latched as best as you can then pulling the slack thru to get them as tight as possible by kneeling them down into the seat cushion.

Good job!
