Campaign LP still going on?

I couldn't find the thread that discusses using a bus VIN when ordering a campaign pump, but it's time for me to replace mine again.

Is Cummins still selling campaign pumps? I just called a Cummins service center today and was asked what the campaign number was, and I didn't have that info. What is the campaign number?

I know there are better options for pumps if I'm only willing to fork over half a grand. I'd rather spend $70.

As far as I know, the campaign price is over. You can get the airtex pump for around $150. I've had good luck with mine, 15000 miles, still 18psi @ idle, never under 14psi wot pulling a big load.

Is this the one? The Airtex you mentioned has me interested.

I was quoted $135 for a Carter, and the parts rep told me it was an updated pump. Not sure if it's any more reliable than the one I got 2 years ago.

Good prices here. I installed my campaign pump after 103,000 on the original. I ordered an Airtex for a spare just to see how it works when the time comes.

Yes, that's the pump I was talking about, much better than the carter in my opinon. I think Vulcan has them, or Northern auot parts, and maybe even Autozone.

Thanks again for the great link to Pensacola diesel. One thing though... The site uses an unsecure connection to send sensitive info like my credit card number and account info. Is this site reputable, and what are the risks of sending this info on a non-encrypted site? I've just never purchased anything on a non-secure site, and found it very odd.

If you're worried about it, I'd just call them and order it over the phone, then you don't have to worry about anyone getting your info.
