Bypass valve bolt

Just had the vp44 replaced. For the last day or so the truck is hard to start...I have checked for leaks. NONE But I removed the bypass bolt and it has a very small weep hole made into it. I assume so some fuel always bypasses it. I'm wondering if this is causing it to lose prime. I have 15 psi at idle and 11-12 at wot ... running holley blue on frame rail with large igniton resistor to quiet it down a little...Works great......Any thoughts on hard starts?

What kind of pressure you getting with the Holley Blue?
Too much will get you hard starts. Is it hard to start right after you run it or is it after it sits awhile? Are you sure your Holley is not sucking air somewhere?

Without the resistor ... its a little under 20. With it ... right at 15.
The truck is hard to start after I have driven it and it is warm and sits for 10-15 minutes.
