New, used truck (50k miles), Called Dodge about reminder of warrenties , I was informed that I could purchase , from dodge' the reminder of a 7/100,000 mile powertrain warrenty, some kind of promo in effect at time of sale, Feb 2002....( there is some left on 5/70k & Cummins ? )

Anyone know of this, is it worth it, Have not enquired
on price yet, Wanted to have more smarts before going
to Dodge dealer....

I drive about 20k a year , 7/100 would just about cover
me untill 2009

 

If you can get the remainder for just the trasfer fees do it now. It is well worth it. Also dont wait because this transfer is supposed to be done within 30 days of purchase.

 

just remember.....with the chrysler service contract they start the date with the in service date of the vehicle......not the purchase date of the contract or extension.

 

check the tap wire see if it's ever be tapped, if so the warranty on it isn't worth the paper it's written on

 

OK, Where, what do I look for, I do not think the truck has had any mods at all, but I will look, ? something with the
fuel pump???

 

I would ask the dealer's diesel tech to cheek it out for me, It can be hard to see if you not sure what your looking for.
