Breather Bottle Question?
Re:Breather Bottle Question?
I agree, get rid of it and extend the hose, I read an article
in a Motorhome magazine at work, it said to do the same thing, they said many motorhomes with 5.9 have overheating problems from oil getting on rad and dust sticking to it, process keeps repeating,oil/dust/oil/dust until cooling is compromised. Maybe motorhomes have different airflow?
Don't know if this is problem on our trucks but I got rid of it anyway.

Why couldnt you just plumb the hose up to the back of the motor and higher. Then put a vented k&N filter or something on like you do for a valve cover then with it being higher the oil will drain back in and the filter will keep any dirt from getting in.??????
Here's some info that may help you inexpensively. Relocate Vent Bottle.
