Do you have 4 wheel ABS? Most of the problems are caused by the rear wheel speed sensor located on the rear diff. If you have 4 wheel ABS there is and additional sensor on each front wheel.

I'm not sure what you're referring to as a "ABS front hub", but to check for ABS sensors on your front axle, look for a tone ring next to the inside of the front axle next to the brakes. There will be a wire running to a sensor that's located towards the top of the axle in that area.

oh sorry... i ment how to check for the front abs...how do you test each wheel to figure out what one it is?? also if the tone ring is out will that cause the light to come on?? i dont know how it would have got knocked out though as i was just driving down the road...my brake fluid was a little low so i topped it up could there be a air bubble in there? would that cause the abs light to come on?

I hate to do this to you but a member here a while ago posted a way he used to test his 4 wheel ABS. If you do a search I think the members name was Lary, you might find the post. I don't know how a tone ring could go bad, they're just a metal disk with slots cut into the edge. The only way to get the ABS system scanned reliably is at a dealership, and it's expensive but it will tell you exactly which part is bad and you can go from there. I'm still thinking it's the sensor on the rear diff. It's a dealer only part so check around for the best price.

Check this thread too before buying a new ABS sensor.

Thanks for posting back with the findings and the fix.
That will help someone in the future who is experiencing the same symptoms and tries a forum SEARCH.

I am also having problems with my ABS and brake light coming on. I did a burn out in my 2wd 2500 and I noticed the sensor on the diff could it be bad or is there something on the front that I need to think about replacing?
