Boost problem

Well I hope someone can give me some advice with my gages. I installed my Autometer Z series gages approx 2 years ago and they have worked flawlessly since then. On my way home tonight I noticed that the boost gage was fluxuating approx 2-3lbs back and forth at anything over about 12 lbs. Do I have a gage about to go bad or is this an indication of something more serious. I have never noticed it do this before. Any help that can be provided is appreciated.

Thanks
Frank

Might be trying to tell you that you have a leak somewhere...

Check your guage fittings as well as the boots on the intercooler for holes. They are going to be small at this point. There was a few articles about the boots rubbing holes in themself from the fenders. Remember the boots do expand as the pressure rises.

The only other thing that pops up to mind is a vlave problem... Adjustment, sticky, or bent... But if you did have this as a problem there would be variance in PSI all the time. (At least that what I know of it...)

Just my 2 cent worth...

Any boost leak I ever expirienced did not fluctuate...just showed lower boost. I think it's the gauge connections. Don't know the autometers but never seen a boost gauge go bad.

Update.. I called AutoMeter today and was told to check the fittings to see if they are leaking. If that is not the problem they told me to send the gage in and they would check it out..I sure hope it isnt anything more serious than the gage
