blowby solution?

this was a brain fart, but why don't we put a pump on our blowby tube and plumb it to our exhaust or something? and i thought i read somewhere that having negative crankcase pressure actually helps make more power. this idea is probobly retarded so flame away

Re:blowby solution?

My 01 still has the little catch can on the front of the engine. I need to empty now that I think of it. Thanks for posting and reminding me about it.

Re:blowby solution?

Dont knock the fact that these trucks have a open loop crank case vent. This is a good thing. Any devise (pcv valve, ect.) that puts expelled fumes back into the motor is hurting power. Thats only emission stuff. Just run a 3/4 in hose from the existing down under the truck and the bottle problem is gone. Just be sure not to let the hose droop so as to allow a fluid trap or you'll blow out seals.

Re:blowby solution?

Has anyone tried using crank case vaccum pump? Like what they use on high performance gassers to creat a better piston ring seal.

Re:blowby solution?

yeah thats what i was talking about...negative pressure in the crankcase and getting rid of the oil at the same time.
