How much oil is common out of the breather tube? what do i look for when its running? I saw the truck today, 1996 with 132k. the breather tube had a drop of oil on it but nothing major.

 

Mines about the same. I see a quarter size mark on the asphalt when I let my truck sit overnight. Better then having it clog up the radiator like the overvalvers

 

Doesn't sound very out of the ordinary. I actually haven't seen any drip marks from mine, it just looks nasty. If you're looking for common problems one of my biggest concerns would be an oil leak from the front of the motor, a dowel pin inside the timing case can come loose and fall into the cam gears make a mess out of the timing case and the gears.
