Blow By and Crankcase Pressure
Blow By and Crankcase Pressure
Recently noticed that im having ALOT of blow by on my truck. Head gasket has beed seeping some oil outwards for about a year. Also if you get on it anything over 20psi, the oil dipstick tube pops out. Any Ideas???
You have a blown head gasket.... Take off the oil filler cap and see how much pressure is coming out when you idle the engine.... Also, check your coolant for oil/sludge. It's a lot of fun....

Does 4x4 work correctlly? Does heater doors change correctlly? does speed control work? If these are happening in addition to blowby you might suspect the vacuum pump has become a air compressor for crankcase. Check hose from pump to cowl and across cowl. There are fittings that detoriate over time or get damaged.
