Later on I plan on upgrading from stock rubber lines to s/s lines and I was wondering how hard it would be for me to do since its ABS system. I've done lines on cars before that did not have ABS system so it was pretty straight forward. Thank you for advice.

 

Here's a hint/tip find a stick to wedge between the seat and brakepedal, then push the seat far enough ahead so that it depresses the brake pedal just far enough to turn the brake lites on, this will keep the brake lines and brake resivor from draining all the fluid out!! just remember to pull the fuse or disconnect the batterys so you dont kill the batterys before you complete the line swap.

 

If you can use one of these Motive Bleeders, it will make the job much easier.

I would bleed the system with some fresh DOT 4 as it has a higher boiling point-less fade than the DOT 3 (and yes it is compatible).. Be sure to get the vinyl coated SS Brakes lines as they handle abrasion better..

 

I'll most likely will get speed bleeders. Not sure if you guys have heard about them but they're one man bleeders and Ive used them with success in the past. I was just wondering if there were any precautions to take when working on ABS. Some people said that I need special module computer or whatever??

 

No "special module" required, its easier to bleed the brakes if the entire system is not empty and causes less damage (i,e pumping MC with no fluid ) so if you use the method I mentioned the system will stay full of fluid while your replacing brake lines until your ready to bleed it.
