Bed Shaking like CRAZY
Bed Shaking like CRAZY
Ok, this past week, me and a few buds went to Big Bend Ntl Park and we did some off-roading. Nothing too extreme, but enough for a 4wd truck (but never had to use it). While doing 20-30 mph on the trail, I noticed my bed shaking like crazy. I could see it in my mirrors. The cab would shake and jolt, but the bed would move from side to side and appear to twist and roll. Is this normal? I know there should be some movement, but this seemed to be a tad extreme. I think I'm gonna get under there today and see it everything is good-n-tight, but should I look for anything else?
Thanks,
Hunter

Weak shocks will cause that effect. The deal is though that the bed is fine, it is the cab that is shaking. The bed is bolted direct to the frame, the cab is on rubber. I used to get that from loaded heavy on a rough road, rancho 9000 stopped it completely.
Ok, I see your point HID. I guess I'll check the rubber bushings for looseness, but I think they are alright. The shocks I have on there now are the SJ nitrous ones that came with the lift. I would think that they would suffice, but I could be wrong. I guess after I get a few more paychecks, I'll give the ol' 9000's a try.
