Going Through Control Arms Like Crazy

I installed my own 3" lift from Rancho. I have gone through three upper control arms since the lift was installed. The only thing I did not install was the longer rubber stop blocks. Could this be the cause of my problem? I will install the stop blocks anyway as soon as I get a chance and will not replace any more arms until I get the blocks installed.

Will the suspension over compress and tear the rubbers loose in the control arms?

Should I go to a better quality aftermarket control arm?

abc, thanks for re-enforcing that fact. I know I shoulda put them in but we were doing a stock for mod swap on a truck that was going back to the dealer through arbitration (serious lemon) and it was 3AM. Plus a little too much giggle juice, I thought they could wait.

Just spoke to a front end guy last week about the control arm, alignment issues I have been experiencing. He says that the control arm failure is not due to the missing stop blocks (but I will have the installed anyways). He says that the control arms are there to prevent axil rotation and for reasons unknown, I seem to be experiencing twisting of the front diff. I use the rig as a daily driver and travel mostly highway and gravel roads. Although some of the gravel is rough, I never bottom out and even without the bump stops I should bottom out ond ruin a set of front shocks as well???

I have an apointment this wednesday to get it in for a workover. I will post results, but if anyone has some personal experience with the issue please advise....
