That is not a job you want to re-do. Buy the best parts you can find unless you're selling your truck tomorrow.

Typically a local parts store, my parts plus has always beat online prices by a fair amount...

And they aren't lying, it's a PITA of a job and you don't want to be doing it again anytime soon! do it right the first time and forget about it.

Not to hijack the thread but I took my truck in for an alignment and they said I need to have adjustable ball joints installed? WTH are these? I've done all the work on my truck and never heard of adj ball joints and wonder if they're just trying to sell me junk. He stated you remove the nut on top of the front axle, remove the bushing and install the adjustable ones he showed. The guy even showed me the part which looked weaker than the factory. To me this sounds like a bunch of bs...Someone please tell me if this is correct? thanks.

You can find the Moog adjustable upper ball joints at Carquest under PN K7448. The greasable lowers are PN K7467. Also called Moog "problem solver" ball joints.

Thank you.
Sounds fairly easy to replace...about how long and how difficult or would you recommend having it done? thanks again.
