Bajo Bolt??
Banjo Bolt??
I have changed my fuel filter and run my truck out of fuel
where the truck would not start.....Had to do the ole crack #1 and #3 injector nuts.
My questions are:
Where is the banjo bolt on the IP, does anyone have a picture or schematic?
Does anyone else have this problem when changing the fuel filter (i.e. the truck won't start because of entrained air)?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Do you drain the fuel filter canister?
The only time I have had to crack the injector bolts was when I drained the canister..... and when I ran it out of fuel, which coincidentally happened when my fuel gage was messed up and had the new "in tank" lift pump installed.

When ever I change my fuel filter, I will dump out the fuel from the canister into a container, or get new fuel. After cleaning the canister out I will put the fuel back in it...then put it all back together.
We also do this on the big rigs when replacing filters...always prime the filters before we put back on.

Should have a shrader valve at that connection...Right? Afger changing my lift pump, I had to crack this line, then bump the starter, then close the line and she started right up.
