auto to manual

I know alot of people are going to say why dont you just trade your truck in and just buy a manual, well im not, I just payed it off and I love this truck, the only reason I was thinking of doing this conversion is I wanna pull my race truck and I really just want a standard, would this be worth it? I know I would have to make some kind of bracket for the clutch and of coarse a new trans, I know its alot of work but im about to park it for a while to fix my fuel system

IMO---the work wouldn't be that hard if you had a doner truck to pull everything from...at least you don't have to worry about clutch linkage, with it being a hydraulic setup...if i'm not mistaken...you might have to change the APPS...i don't know for sure...i only mention it because they have different part #s....
