i was traveling in heavey traffic on I-15 at about 20 mph in one of the lower gears when all of a sudden my engine went to an idle and the check engone light came on,at first i thought the engine had died. as soon as i pulled over i jammed my foot to the floor and it took off as normal as can be.....no codes other than 1693 & 0500 t hese codes have been present for a couple of years so they are nothing new.....so my question is , is the apps going bad or what?
also is there an after market one available?

Do you have a fuel pressure guage?
All the other mods in your sig, I'm assuming you do.

i had industrial injection do a scan & it came up with tps po121 & grid heater circuit code po382
no fp guage

 

Try the APPS reset procedure, but I don't think it'll help much other than prolong the agony.

At least hook up a temporary FP guage to see if your lift pump is still alive.

All those go fast goodies are most likely taking a toll on the injection pump.

i have a pusher pump on the frame, the last time i ckd pressure i had 22 psi, (saturday)
that is the same pressure i had 8 months ago
unless i start having more than intermintant problems i`ll leave it alone

 

Mine has been doing something quite similar. Cruise control on running about 73-77 mph and I go down a slight decline. I can't say hills, because we do not have hill around here. Mine will do the same thing dead pedal and check engine light with P0121 code. I have not tried the reset procedure to see if it helps, but if I can remember to, I will try tomorrow. If I accellerate down the decline, it will not throw a code.
