Anyone using a Cardone steering box?

Does anyone have any experience with the A1 Cardone steering box?

These are the lifetime warranty remans you get at your local auto parts stores (O'Reillys, Pep Boys, AutoZone).

I'm in need of a new box and with all the mixed reviews with PSC and AGR boxes, I'm not sure which way to go. For $171, I can get the Cardone box with a lifetime warranty, but don't want to get in a situation where I'm replacing boxes every few thousand miles. My stepson works for a Dodge dealership and he can get a Dodge box for $310.

I have a cardone, I courior and it lasted 3months till it started leaking at the pitman arm seal, I could not get warranty because my truck is registered for commercial use, so I got a seal kit and then added a steering brace, that was 50,000miles ago and its still going strong, oh yeah I did have to redo the bearing pre-load adjustment, but I honestly believe there is not a box out there that comes adjusted properly, if you do the adjustments always do the bearing first then the over center adjustment second, not the other way around.

I replaced 3 of them within 5000 miles (2 months), then finally went to junkyard found a low mile used OEM and never been happier.

I don't think they even fix them, they just clean them up and resell them.

Even with lifetime warranty it's a pain to replace box, bleed, adjust, etc.

How do you adjust your steering box? The only adjustment I know of is the sector shaft.

Ya, I was always told to never mess with those adjustments, that they would ruin the box sooner.

I had to adjust my PSC after 2 years. It was so sloppy it was dangerous to drive. I figure adjust it and make it work, better than throwin it away. So far it's been great since. 3 months
