There's a guy here at work that has a scooter (hehehe) piston that he sets on top of his computer. I think he's trying to be a show off with it.

I'd like to have an ISB piston to set on top of my computer. It'll stand-out like swatting a fly with a sledge hammer. This is if anyone can part with one. Slightly damaged one is OK.

I dont have a piston.
But I do have a Cummins wrist pin sitting on my office desk from a 19L Cummins engine that was torn down at the local Cummins shop.
The engine came from one of our "local" open pit mines and was a generator.
The wrist pin is 5-1/4" tall, 2-1/2" wide.
The wall of the wrist pin is 5/8" of an inch thick.
The wrist pin wieghs in at 6-1/2 lbs.

I don't have one from the beloved 5.9 but here is one out of my 1950 R model John Deere diesel.

 

Here is the connecting rod to go with it weighing in at 26 pounds.

 

I'm not looking to buy, I'm just wondering if someone had some old piston from a torn down motor that they had no use for, maybe they could send it to me C.O.D. (I'll pay the shipping of course). That wrist pin sounds interesting, but I want something that won't break my computer, hehehe. ;D

used no wear , are usable will refund $$$ make offer, i had to bore o/s for ceramics pistons

 

I might be able to find one out of an engine we just rebuilt. It is a KTA-50 Cummins. The piston diameter is 6 1/8" and weighs 10.5 lbs.

 

Go to your local Cummins shop - or any diesel repair shop. They usually have stuff lying around you can have and no postage.

Get one out of a large commercial truck, then mark it as out of your 5.9. ;D
