Are All 2500 Wheels The Same Size

I found some wheels that came off a 2500 HD gasser.
Im curious if they will fit on my CDT.

They are 16x8.5 is that the factory size?

My freind is telling me that the rears wont fit.

Steel wheels were 16x7, alloys were 16x8.

Post 2000 wheels won't fit over the rear drums on pre 2000 trucks.

2003 and newer will fit any older truck, as they are 17".
