What does this do?
What symptoms would it have if needed?

 

2nd gear and reverse are off the same band , What wears and and might make it need a slite adjustment , is actually the metal parts, the ends of the adjustment bolt and the cup it contacts, if it even needs adjustment. There is not much material on the band clutch itself .

 

Im getting some bad hesitation/slipping or something in 2nd gear. After it does it a few times or gets warmed up, it seems to work alot better.
Maybe it's time for s new tranny.

 

Could be the metal parts of the band and tensioner bolt are worn and it could stand tightening. Worth a try. Ask a good trans shop guy
