5 years ago (or so) my ABS pump was running, i unplugged it, had it checked at a Dodge dealer. yep, module bad. i took the dash cluster out and removed the ABS light bulb so i didn't have to see it. the red brake light stayed on for 5 years.

now 5 years later i finally bought a new module and installed it today, turned on the key and the red light went off and stayed off!!

took the cluster out and put a new bulb in, finished up todays projects, new crank sensor, fixed my 4WD light (new switch) longer hose for the breather tube and fired it up.

ABS light came on then went off, then started flashing on off on off, dang it.

did a search here and found a that brand new one has to be calibrated.

now the question, can a Snap On or equivalent scanner do that or does that have to be done at a dealer?
