Im looking at buying a 99. The 'wait to start' cycle seems to work fine, it cranks good, but wont start! If you pull start it or (I never did it) give it a sniff of eether it starts right up. You can let it warm up & again it just wont start, warm or cold. Any suggestions?

Bad lift pump.

 

Do you think the IP is still good? The truck seems to run fine once it's going.

 

It won't be for long if you run it with a bad lift pump. Get a fuel press guage and hook it into a test port on the filter. Only way to be sure..
