98.5 codes

does anyone know how to pull codes on a 98.5 24v. my son has my truck and says the check engine light came on and the truck had no power, or not very responsive.

You have to use a code reader.

Most major auto parts stores have readers for loan, or they'll come out and retrieve the codes for you.

I use a "Lap logger" serial cable withthe Elm chip in line to a Palm PDA.

The setup cost $60 US less the Palm

well the truck came back to town today and we did make it to an auto parts store. they scaned it and said it is a p0545 code. any idea what this is? thanks mark
