93 Dana in a 96
Not the most desirable swap, but better than nothing I suppose.
The spring perch center measurement should be fine, the alignment hole might be smaller, the perches on a 1st gen are for a 2.5" spring and the 2nd gen has a 3" wide spring.
1st gens had 1/2" studs and inboard brakes drums, meaning you have to pull the hub just to look at the shoes.

I have been given one that was rebuilt several years ago and has just been setting in his shop. It is a 3:07 ratio vs the 3:55 I now have. I don't tow much anymore, some times a car but nothing heavy so I was wondering about doing the change. Can the carrier assembly just be changed out? Maybe that's the way to go instead of changing the whole rear end.
Mods, can you change this to the 12 valve postings?
