The 6th and I think 3rd injector

how the hell do you get to these 2 injectors?! The third is blocked by the intake, so I can see taking part of it off to make life easier but it didn't look like just the blocking part came off. the 6th injector...why didn't they just pour conrete over it to make it a little harder to access?

How does anyone get the 6th injector off and out?

These are the instructions I used. Do not exactly remember how I did number sic, but if it was too difficult, I think I would remember.

It ain't easy but it can be done, I bet I've changed mine 20-25 times in the last year and it still is a pain. First just get the intake horn out of there so you got some room to work and then just dive in. I use a short cresent wrench to get the back two lines off, only because I can never remember to get a stubby wrench when I'm out. After the line comes off it really isn't that much worse than the front 4 or 5. Where at in the rust belt do you live, if you're close I could always give you a hand

Just did mine yesterday , I'm 6'4 have long arms and used a little stool to get back there wasn't as bad as I thought hardest part was pushing in #6 , no room to force it down that last cm with anything, boy they slam in hard that last cm . Are the injectors suppose to be covered in oil when ya pull them out ??I thought the o ring was to keep the oil up in the valve cover.Anyone thanks

24valvepuller: I live in southwest Michigan, Kalamazoo to be specific.

I don't need to pull them, yet. I was trying to bleed them the other day and I didn't do the 3rd or 6th injectors cus they looked like too much of a pain for a self-bleeding system.

actually , when bleeding injectors ,i found all you have to bleed are the easy ones. once the engine starts it will gradually blow all the air out .... i have changed injectors many times and never needed to bleed them--- i did bleed the ones that are easy to ge to when i ran out of fuel due to a bad fuel sending unit. it ran rough for a very short time

I bled the 4 and it ran rough for 3 seconds. I think I agree, the 3rd and 6th injectors can handle themselves, they're tough.
