55 Casting on block (Bad or is it just 53)

55 Casting on block (Bad or is it just 53)

I went to look at a 2001 Ram and the casting number on the block was 55, is that a good or bad block? I know the 53 is to be avoided but it seems like I have heard something about 55 too.

Block #53 is the only bad block. At least it's the only one which cracks in normal conditions.

#55 is a good block.
