53 block question

53 block question

ok so i have searched my engine block all over and im not able to find out if i have a 53 block or not by what other means would i beable to make sure i dont have the junk 53 block i.e. VIN, or any other noticable pieces on the engine that would not be normal on the 53 block? thanks for the help i know its prolly me just loosing sleep at nite worrying about my wife sitting out in the drive way but till death do we part is the saying right?

If you don't see the big numbers at the front of the engine, just forget about it. Its likely a mexican block if there are no big numbers. Not that having a 53 is a big worry anyway.

THe 53 is pretty obvious if you are looking in the right place. Just above the oil pan flange, drivers front, behind the wire loom tie down.
