53 Block question

53 Block question
Im looking at a 99 ram 3500 5 speed the truck has had power adders on it since about 40000 miles and now it has 116000 i was wanting to know wat years and how to check for the 53 block before i buy

For the 53 block - check the sides of the engine toward the front and just above the oil pan. If its a 53 you will see a 53 in 1" numbers I think.
Any other numbers or no numbers is what you want.
