After hitting a rut on a dirt road the other day the shift lever began making this chattering noise. It doese it a little in third and fourth but mainly in 2nd and 5th. I have a T handle shift **** and i can make the noise strop by holding it tightly in my hand. The noise isnt coming from the **** itself though i checked. Any suggestions? Ive never even messed with the gearbox or anything around it so im pretty unfamiliar with it. Is there something that i could have just knocked loose that i can easily fix?

I made it seem like its the **** in the title of the post, its not its coming from underneath the floor board.
