4wd conversions

Just out of curiosity, how much work would it be to convert at 2wd into a 4wd, were taklin the 98.5-2002 which im sure is all the same as far as this goes maybe. To me im thinkin all the steering parts, front axle, drive shaft, and transfer case. Problem is i dont have a 2wd anywhere to check out.

So any thoughts on this matter would be highly appreciated

Save yourself a LOT of headache and a TON of cash....find the truck you want and buy it - even if it involved jumping on a plane and picking it up....it will still be far cheaper than a conversion.

yes, true, what i was plannin on doing is like the kenderman air ride, and from the looks of it, it took care of control arms and all that kind of good stuff. just had to grab the axle and transfer from a used parts dealer or something?
