47re Build
About 2000 miles ago I put in a triple disc converter, flex plate, and valvebody kit (with apply lever, strut, and anchor). I had also ordered a new carbon fiber front band. When I got into the tranny, I decided to skip the band replacement as I didn't want to start ripping apart the tranny any further. Well the other day I lost 2nd gear and after some investigating, I narrowed it down to the front band
. Today I ordered a Suncoast Extreme Duty Rebuild Kit, Super Servo, Billet Input Shaft, and Deep Tranny Pan. I also ordered 2 sets of selective snap rings for both clutchpacks, new torrington bearings, and a new rear band from another place.
Does anybody with any experience know if I need anything else? The nearest tranny place is at least 2 hours away so I'd like to get everything online now. I'm not really sure if I even need the selective snap rings or not but for $30 I guess it's safer to get them.

Just took the pan off to peek and found my billet band strut laying on top of the valvebody. Looks like the end broke right off. Anybody ever seen that before? I thought these were "unbreakable". I guess that's what happend to second gear then.
