2wd vs. 4wd pinion angle

I have a 99 2500 4wd. I'm wanting to change it to a drw 3500.I have been told that the 2wd rear housing has more nose down pinion angle than a 4wd because of shorter ride height. This makes sense to me,but any body know what the difference is? I can get a 2wd housing real cheap. My thought was to take it & make an angled wedge between the perch & spring to correct the angle. As long as the axle locating pin is long enough to go through the wedge & still engage the locating hole enough I think it will be ok. Do you think this would be safe? If so what is the difference in the angles so I can correctly make the wedges.Any good advice would be appreciated.

If there was any real differences, it could easily be corrected with a wedged shim.
