2wd to 4wd Tranny Swap

Okay, my dads 95 has a built tranny, built enough to handle the Race Box beta atleast. I'm wondering if they two trannies could be swapped out? Not sure b/c with the transfer case and all...

If it can be done, is it worth it? How difficult is it?

Technically, you could by switching the output shaft and tailhousing, but if yours is the 02 in your sig, you would have a 47Re and your Dad would have a 47Rh.

You would have some issues between the length of the Re and Rh, and if your Dad needed your old tranny it would not shift. I am not sure what it would take to make the Rh shift right with your truck.

All in all not a promising deal.

Swap the electronics from the 02 tranny to the 95 tranny should work

Yeah, so from my stand point its not seeming like it'd be worth the hassle. I'll ask the guy who built my dads what it'd take if it can be done and more importantly... how much...
