2002 ram trans line leaks
hello..
i have 2002 2500 ram,,the trans lines have actually got a leak/leaks ,,, due to the trans lines rubbing against each other.
question is will cutting out piece of alum trans line and replacing with 1/2 gas rubber hose , will this last???
i am not a fan of this method and looking for a better fix???/
any ideas?? i looked at local hardware stores for 1/2 alum tubing but cant be found . i guess i could buy 1/2 gas line kit for a race car set, use compression union but ,,,,not sure..
help.....
thanks
gordon

Replacement lines can be bought from Oreilly, Napa, Autozone at a fair price. In the past i have installed new lines and use some small radiator hose to wrap around the aluminum lines where points of "rubbing" may be an issue.
If I remember correctly the new cooler lines are around 30.00USD each.
