2002 no throtle response

2002 auto: changed the engine speed sensor and solenoid because truck was acting like it was not shifting: but now (a day latter) at 1500 RPM get no throttle response till I depress it and let off a few times: then it jumps the RPM to 2300+ and of course it down shifts which almost redlines it. I figure that it is the throttle position sensor. Might hive been the problem all along.
What do all-you-all think.
I have a Banks intake and KNN filter and 4" straight pipe and a Banks Econo chip. Truck has 102000 miles. Tranny pan was pretty clean. Should have been a clue that it might not have been the tranny. All advice appreciated. Thank-you,

what I would do first is find and clean every main ground on the truck before you spend any money. I know it might not make sense, but it will be better explained in this link.
