just getting into trucks and woundering if i should pull the trigger. found a 02 3500 dually deisel ho 5.9 24 valve cummings stick for 16k, new fuel rims idk if stocks r gone, supposidly has 40k miles. havnt talked to owner yet. very very clean body and under carrage. ran vin. was made in mexico no side air bags and not a 4x4 wich is what i wanted. idk if its a 53 block as havnt talked to owner. its a friends neighbors truck. any thoughts any one. unshure if has any mods at all
Ummm, that is a 4x4. I can see the front diff peeking out. IF made in mexico should have the better, harder cast block. Crawl under and look at lower drivers front corner of engine block behind wire loom threaded around there. You can't mis a big 53. You should see a series of smaller random numbers and letters after you wipe off the oil smudge from the puke bottle...
Nice truck, don't fall in love with the tire/wheel set up and miss other important issues.....

thanks for the info. idc what wheels are on there. id rather have stocks with good tires. never owned a truck befor im a old 60s car guy but im ready for a truck. just want a good one. check blue book and was only 14k but ive seen these dodges all listed for well over blue book. just woundering if its worth the buy. what other issues should i be looking for when i finally look at the truck
Without know more about the truck I wont have much to suggest, except that the less modified it is the better it will likely be. Dont buy someones problem...
