0216 - Injection Timing Control Circuit Malfunction

0602 - Control Module Programming Error

The 0216 is usually the dreaded VP 44 biting the dust. However, the 0602 might be causing it.?

Have you tried re setting the codes and see if they come back?

How many miles on the truck?

9 times out of 10 what caused it is you Lift Pump has died. When it goes, it starves the Injection Pump and then causes the Injection Pump to overheat and die.

Do a search on "Fuel Pressure", or if you really want to be dissapointed on New Years Eve, just search "p0126" or Injection Pump Failure".

That seems awful low for any FP. Does the dealer know it's that low?

I hear that's about normal for the in tank pump setup.
Dodge claims it's a higher FLOW, lower PRESSURE pump.

Most aftermarket pump builders say don't go below 10 psi at WOT.

They're all like that from what I've read. Brand new out of the box they won't push over 10.
I think I heard they don't drop 2.5 - 4 psi like the Carters though, they stay right around 8. (still, )

Anyone else heard that one?
