13.3 volts running

12.4 not running, battery's handled a 500 amp load test no problem (not running) but when started voltage only comes up to 13.3, turned on everything, still 13.3, brought rpm's up to 1200 and still no more than 13.3. This seems a little low to me and I suspect it may be the source of my currant trans problems
agree/disagree? opinions?

Mine did this a while back, then it dissappeared for about 4 months. Even had the alternator load tested at autozone and it checked out. When it came back, it was an immediate loss of voltage, and yep...new alternator time! In the middle of a trip, no less. Sometimes it just happens...

Ya I think I'm going to replace or rebuild, the voltage should be higher, may or may not resolve the trans issue

Off topic, but how are your bilstein shocks? What model are they, do you reccommend them over a Monroe or other brand? Thanks for the help my truck really needs shock at this point...

It had Monroes on it when I bought it, they were not done yet but I replaced them with the Bilsteins and like them better, they were the listed replacments, got a good price at Autozone

Try cleaning up all the grounding points on your truck. THis may decrease some resistance and bring up your voltage.
