Unhappy 100hp+ engine, trans/clutch doesn't like it

Hi, New Diesel Lover here

Let me start by telling you what I’ve done to the truck:

• New: APPS Sensor, ABS Sensor, VP44 Pump, AirDog (R3SBD100) Lift Pump
• Also: 100HP + injectors (including nuzzles)

No other upgrades (I know I need to upgrade my turbo/air intake)

Here is the problem, recently when I put it into gear (manual transmission) and started releasing the clutch the truck would rev up and move but not proportionally to the throttle, feels as if the engines revs up but the truck doesn’t respond after a few second and after I release the gas so it can gain momentum.

In other words my truck just doesn’t have the powaa, it just to have; any ideas why??? Clutch, trans, what….

Thanks all for the help (doesn’t throw any codes BTW)

Sounds like you tried out the new Injectors once too many times.

Clutch time......... Don't buy too little.

Second that^^^

I'd worry about the exhaust first...minimum 4". Get the hots out before jamming more in......

did you install the apps sensor. was it a oem factory replacement for $$ alot of money that one. or was it Timbo's APPS sensor that was like 160$. as I ask because I believe the process to calibrate for both of them are diff. I'm confused on the let out clutch part and vehicle "REVS UP" . how is your idle after replacing these parts. do you feel the throttle response is slower or faster since the apps was replaced. All of my clutches that went bad. Stock, SB-Con FE, they both made my truck blow alot of black smoke when getting on throttle , Rpm's shot up and speedo went down. it was a instant feeling and instantly showed on gauges. it didn't hesitate. right around the 1900rpms range using 3rd, or 4th.

I think he is saying the governor is applying the fuel needed to get going but he feels the clutch is slipping/shot.

I relate this to my truck, I can let the clutch out in first or second and it won't stall.....

You're correct SIX in that these trucks are almost impossible to stall. With the ISB generating around 300 pounds of torque.....AT IDLE..... it becomes apparent that the engine has the upper hand over the drivetrain in most situations.

That said, if the clutch is slipping sooooo bad that just letting it out while taking off in first or second gear results in the truck speed lagging behind would mean that you pretty much cant drive the truck at all. If the lower range gears have the least leverage over the engine and clutch slippage occurs mostly in the taller gears then a clutch slipping that bad in take off would be next to impossible to drive down the road.

all my clutch's that slipped were upper rpm with shorter gears. I still would have been able to drive for many many miles with those too.
I cant imagine slipping the clutch at 1300rpms in 1st or 2nd. my first thought would be is it in gear

Thanks everybody for the knowledge sharing; of course English is not my native language but i guess its pretty good,.

let me give it another shot; >>>
Revs at idle are about 700-800, low gears don't have a problem reaching 1800-2000 to gear up, 4th and 5th get pretty weak after i switch over into gear and want to speed up, when i press the pedal engine revs up but i dont see the truck going proportionally faster, it takes a few seconds to respond, so i have to let go on the "gas" lol, and start sloww (just like my girlfriends) kddng....

so new clutch uh..... i need to learn more about upgrading exhaust and air intake before i choose something BTW...

what kind of clutch should i go after!!! (not a rich guy here) but i can spare USD1k? HELP
