Wire Grimmmlin ?
Wire Grimmmlin ?
Here's one for ya', with ignition on, the cold-hot needle stays on the cold side, turn the ignition off and touch the brake peddle, "wham" the needle goes to "H'. Turn ignition off needle stays on "H". Now turn ignition back on the needle goes back to "C".????? Where's the short, it just stared doing this AFTER , installing my new trans., how would the install cause this problem?

Cougar, thought it might be in my ignition, pulled the covers off the steering column and found a couple of small wires that were rubbed flat (repaired), was not the ignition it's self . Will know for sure directly . Thank you for reply.
cougar, replaced my ignition anyway, w/ a spare from my 92 parts trk. After fixing the 2 small wires i drove around and shifted the (stiff) shifter back & forth, now the C&H gauge works normal,
Now onto the next problem, smoothing up the shifting lever (it's always something).
