I just replaced the plastic grommets to the wiper arms about 6mos ago and yesterday during a storm they broke again This is the worst wiper arm set up i have ever seen anyone got a tips to replacing the grommets i rember i had a hard time snaping them in last time

 

I just replaced mine a couple of months ago. I had a real hard time pressing the grommets on as well. I drilled a small hole on the side of the grommet and that relieved the pressure, I forget what size hole, I think it was 1/32". I used a "C" clap to press it on. I also used lithium grease inside the grommet and on the metal part that goes in the grommet. I also found it was alot easier to take everything out and do it on the bench and re-install everything already assembled. It's been several months and they have not failed me yet....
