Auto to Manual
If I ever find a donor truck with ALL the parts, I would do this too. However, I would REALLY want an NV4500, so it would all have to be piece meal.
That would make it more expensive.
I guess I cannot really answer your question, but it has me thinking again!

Her is a complete kit for a NV4500 swap. all you need to buy that doesn't come with the kit is a starter and the clutch pedal assembly. You may need to buy a new steering column too if you don't want the nub that remains when you take off the tree selector lever.
Good luck! Hope this helps!

Nice stuff! Thanks, I think.
to me if u find a cheap smashed 2nd gen that u can switch every part from then its worth ur time and money. to go out and peace everything out one by one and ur time to find everything i dont think its worth it
I did my swap for $1800 with all new clutch, rebuild a tranny, and everything needed for the swap. Really not a hard swap at all. Just time consuming when you forget the smallest pieces.
Im in the middle of my swap right now. Goign form a518 to nv4500 using 12'' flywheel and 2nd gen starter. So far prices include
nv4500- 840
clutch- 350
hydraulics- free
bell housing- 100
adapter plate- 75
that doesnt include abunch of other parts i need either.

clutch pedals are easy to find... remember they don't have to come from a diesel truck, any later 80's to 93 clutch pedal assy. I'd say would work...
Probably 81-93 but not sure. check ebay. check u pull yards.
