my rod on my wiper fell off tonight on my way back from a truck pull in kentucky, how hard is it to get the cowl panel off to get to the rod, just the self tappers that hold it in or what???

 

Just a few screws takes the cowl cover off. The little plastic bushings are available at a Dodge dealer. You may be able to find them cheaper at an auto parts store though. At the dealer they were $3.00 each which seems kind of steep but they were prelubed.

There are also two screws under the rubber windshield moulding that you have to push back the rubber to get at. The bushings are available at Auto Zone and O'riley's Auto. Very cheap, same bushings for all Dodges for years. Replace all of them while you are in there, had to do mine a little while back.

 

will that make the wipers go the same distance consistantly? mine are kinda all over, lol.

 

When mine broke they didnt move at all. They got turned on in the ice, whoops...

 

sometimes my wipers would go about 3/4 of the way across my windshield, other times they would smack the moulding on the outside.
