Wiper elctrical problem

Hi all, my wipers on my truck are not working properly. Mechanically they're fine, but electrically they are not working right. The intermitant feature is well intermitant in working and when you turn the switch to the off position the wipers stop where ever they are at.
I'm thinking that it could be the switch or the control modual. Anyone ever have this problem?
Any ideas?
Thanks
Brent

Not the same issue, but when my wipers simply quit a couple months ago... I narrowed it down to a short; somewhere in the miles of cable in the dash . I feel like yours is probably just an "intermittant" connection... one thats worn or corroded in there. Have you checked all the wires?

Time for a new wiper motor. The park switch is dead.

Can you replace just the park switch or do you have to replace the whole motor assembly to do this. Also are you a 110% sure of this? I'd hate to replace the motor and not have that be the problem.
Thanks for the reply.

The park switch is part of the motor assembly and is not serviceable.

If they stop wherever you turn them off, the park switch is bad.

My wipers would sometimes randomly stop at any position and it was only due to a bad ground. I took the wiper apart before realizing about the ground and the brushes were like new!

Well, a wiper motor is pretty easy when you think about checking every connection in the dash... a little pricy though.
