WIF Light

My WIF light keeps reapearing on me even after I drain the water. I just tanked up and I always add Diesel Service, too. Is the fuel filter bad? I'd like some help ASAP if possible. Thanks for you input ahead of time!!

Mine has been doing that to as of late in my case the contacts on the WIF sensor are touching the spring in the bottom of the fuel filter.
I don't know if this helps you but I was very worried when mine came on after the last filter change and this was the problem

Clean the contacts off and the plug also. If you don't know the mileage on the filter change it.

It's also possible for the spring in the bottom of the filter to be in a position such that it shorts across the contacts and triggers the WIF light.

Mine will come on after washing under the hood. I would think it is from water in the wire connecter.
