PM Mark Nixon. He comes across them now and again. I aquired mine from him.
Are you looking for a core or what?
Edit: I come across some on CL sometimes too. The seller generally doesn't know it's a 47RH. They just know it came from a Cummins, so it's worth money

only came in 2 years so they're kind of rare. Plus its starting to get the HE351CW fad, people realize they are a great upgrade for older trucks so they are getting picked up more often than they used to. I Got mine out of a wrecked 94 1 ton a few years back. Luckily it was still in the truck and the guy gave me a deal on it for pulling the motor and everything out with it, otherwise it woulda been gone long before I found it if it was already sitting on the shop floor.

They only had 47RH for 2 years, so that may be the reason. You might want to consider getting one out of a V10 truck if you are going to go through it and rebuild stuff.
There's a few ways to do it.
The cheapest way is the way 92 smokin blacky said. You change the input shaft and you with have to change the reaction shaft support (this is the part that sticks out of the front of the trans and the stator rides on inside the converter) or the whole front pump and the proper valve body of course and don't forget the proper engine bell housing adaptor and starter, though I'm thinking about drilling and tapping one bolt hole so I can use a 1st gen starter next time.
This method leave you with the less desirable not as strong in the rear band area A518.
The other way is to procure a 47RE, use the front section, switch the overdrive parts around using the A518 stuff, use the gears and such out of the RE and use the case and output shaft from the A518. Another thing you will have to do is switch the overdrive piston retainer to the correct style (this is the first part that goes on the trans, so you have to tear it down to a bare case, you need to be able to feed the governor signal through, make/buy a bushing for the connector or use the 10 pin connector and acquire a pig tail from the junk yard and use that for OD and lockup. And of course the proper valve body. By using the RE you get the stronger steel front planet.

JD, I've got all the stuff to convert mine over to the 47, I've figured out all the main case stuff, I'm wondering about the OD, besides the gov stuff, is the planetaries or anything different between the 46 and 47? I was thinking swaping the 47s hard parts into the 518 except the output shaft.

There are three different gear sets used. Straight cut, 23 degree and 15 degree planetary's. I was told by the shop I bought my parts from that under no circumstances should I reuse the 23 degree parts. Also, take a close look at the sun gear, they are know to develop pitting in the root of the gear tooth and make noise.
I would take them all apart and use the largest clutch count with the best looking gear set.
